Thanks for cruising the Boston Harbor

2009 Shooze Cruise

This year's Shooze Cruise was our most successful yet. We welcomed more than 200 people onboard the Provincetown II and collected 205 pairs of shoes. The event raised $9,000 to support programs for Boston's poor and homeless.

The casual shoes we received were distributed to guests through St. Francis House's Fresh Threads clothing program.  The professional styles will be given to students in the Moving Ahead Program, an award-winning 14-week job training program, to be used for interviews, internships and graduation.

If you'd like to help the Friends of Frank plan future events or learn more about the group, contact Nastasia Lawton, FOF Chairman at friendsoffrank@stfrancishouse.org.

The Friends of Frank or FOF are a group of volunteers dedicated to engaging individuals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s in philanthropy and volunteerism to help the poor and homeless guests of St. Francis House. We are actively involved in supporting the more than 800 men and women who receive services each day at St. Francis House, the largest day shelter program in New England.
