Live-in Resident Manager
We are currently seeking a Live-in Resident Manager for Next Step, our permanent co-ed housing program for formerly homeless adults in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse. Reporting to the Program Manager, he/she will help provide a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for our residents.
General Duties and Responsibilities
• Promotes social interaction and cooperative problem-solving among house residents • Plans and facilitates weekly floor meetings focused on house issues including attendance, chores and discussion of facilities and community issues • Maintains awake on duty and on-call coverage as scheduled including one weekend per month • Administers supervised drug and alcohol testing of residents • Intervenes with residents in crisis by providing peer counseling, detox referrals and conflict resolution • Oversees compliance with House Rules and Occupancy Agreements • Collects rent payments, issues receipts and delivers them to the drop safe • Assigns chore duties on the floor and follows up to ensure they are being completed • Completes communications log, incident reports and regularly communicates with Program Director and Facilities Department regarding maintenance and repair needs • Maintains a safe living environment by performing weekly inspections of emergency lights, hall lighting and exits • Maintains a stock of all cleaning supplies and paper products on the assigned floor and distributes paper products and soap to the bathrooms as needed • Participates in weekly resident manager meetings and trainings as requested
Qualifications and Requirements
• General knowledge of substance abuse, recovery and homelessness • Understanding of and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse backgrounds of individuals with histories of homelessness and addiction • Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills • Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 20 lbs), climb stairs, clean(light housekeeping) and respond quickly to emergencies • Must live on site and be available on a 24 hour flexible schedule
Compensation and Benefits
We offer an hourly rate plus single room occupancy housing.

Bilingual Mental Health Clinician & Supervisor of Latino Services
St. Francis House is searching for a licensed, or license eligible, bilingual, Master's level mental health clinician. This position will provide clinical services and supervision of the Latino Services Team, which includes case management staff with specialty areas. Must be flexible, with excellent assessment, treatment, and documentation skills, and have the ability to use them in a supportive, collaborative, and compassionate environment. Ideal candidates will be eager to creatively engage our homeless guests, and enjoy the challenge of utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
Additional Qualifications: - Experience with both individual psychotherapy and psycho-educational groups - Experience with population with co-occurring disorders a plus - Awareness of issues common to those who are experiencing homelessness - Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred
