Clothing

St. Francis House is Boston’s second largest distributor of clothing to poor and homeless individuals, responding to nearly 700 clothing requests per month.  Through our Fresh Threads program, we supply our guests with everyday attire, brand-new undergarments, toiletries, and other essentials, including winter gear that can make a life-or-death difference to those who have to spend the night outside.  We are also called on to meet guests’ special clothing needs, such as sturdy boots for a construction job, a suit for a parent’s funeral, or business attire for an interview or new job, and distribute professional clothing through our Studio Shine boutique.
